Were you aware that eating better is not only good for your health but will improve your eyesight as well? It’s a known fact. A good diet with exercise is good for your health which in turn will help keep your eyes working properly.
The proper diet includes a lot of fruits and vegetables, dairy products and proteins. Fish is a great source of protein that has the necessary Omega-3 fatty acids that are great for the brain and mental focus. Milk products are beneficial unless they are pasteurized and homogenized milk since they hinder eye circulation by clogging arteries. The most beneficial vegetables are carrots, spinach, bean sprouts, cucumbers, celery and endive.
Everybody feels the need to splurge once in a while, but significant problems can arise from too much deep fried or processed foods resulting in worn down health and weaker eyesight. Stick to foods that are loaded with vitamins A, B, C, D, and E sense these are what the body need. Some other appetizing treats which are a good source of nutrition would be sunflower seeds, raisins, pecans, soy beans, liver, and apricots.
The body comes complete with its own pH balance system to help keep an equal amount of alkaline and acid. Too much acid will cause uric crystals to develop around the joints leading to arthritis. This very same acid also damages the muscles in and around your eyes. The body wants fruits, vegetables, grains, and animal products to maintain this balance. To lower the amount of acid in the body a person needs more fruits and vegetables; grains and animal products increase the acid. The objective is to find the perfect balance between the two. Many people don’t take in enough vegetables and fruit, so this would definitely be a great place to start.
Finding the correct mix of foods you eat together can help our bodies break down foods and digest nutrients properly. Too many carbohydrates like meat and potatoes taken with protein can make it difficult for the body to break down making it feel as though the foods are just sitting on the gut. Proteins need to be mixed with vegetables, beef and a salad. The body will be able to break it down easily and the proper amount of nutrients will be absorbed.
